Some Curtains Need Decorative Curtain Poles
Curtain rods were once just simple metal poles for hanging window treatments, but times have changed. Today rods can be found that look as decorative as the curtains themselves and go a long way to adding to the look and feel of the room. Different designs and colors are readily available to match nearly any décor style. Curtain poles are still available in metal, such as aluminum, wrought iron, steel or brass, but they may also be found in an assortment of wood finishes. Rods are not just for hanging fabric, they are also part of the decorative appeal of an attractive window treatment.
Different types of rods are available that enhance a wide variety of window styles. Bay window curtain poles are even available, so no window has to go unadorned. And rods can be accessorized in a number of ways to add even more beauty to the window area. Wonderfully decorative finials can be found that attach to either end of the pole. Fabric panels may hang from the rod either through rod pockets or from rings or hooks.
Rods can be found in a number of different colors, and the available styles vary as well. A twisted pole design can have a very nice effect at the window, especially if it is used for elaborate draperies that hang down to the floor. Decorative wall sconces are also used to dress up window treatments and add a touch of class. The more elegant the room, the more stylish should be the window dressing, and that should include the curtain rods. Today there is no reason that the elegance of the décor should stop with the fabric. Every aspect of the room should be taken into consideration, including the hardware that is used for the hanging of the fabric that will adorn the windows.
When a home is properly decorated, it is a pleasure to spend time there. With beautiful window dressings on appropriate rods, the entire house can be a work of art.
