Balance In Blood Sugar Levels
A life spent out of balance is a life that will be filled with problems waiting to catch up with you and one of those problems will be health related and probably caused from blood sugar levels that aren’t close to where they should be for good health. An out of balance diet that is too filled with simple carbohydrates and sweets and too lacking in fiber from vegetables and fruits is a diet that will cause problems unless changed.
Now some people can tolerate a diet like this for longer than others can, but almost always eating like this results in excess weight and a larger than normal person. This extra fat can cause insulin resistance, where the body’s cells no longer are sensitive to insulin and more and more insulin is necessary to get glucose moved from the blood stream into those cells for fuel.
A result of this condition is high blood sugar levels that don’t ever fall back to normal levels and eventually that excess blood sugar will start to cause health issues by damaging the small blood vessels in the body and circulation issues in the extremities. All of these are bad problems and many of us can avoid them by simply choosing a better diet and a better balance for our lives.
Exercise and diet modifications can return blood sugar to normal levels and help get the entire body into a better balance and functioning better. Exercise will burn some of that blood sugar as energy as a person moves their muscles during exercise. The cells will be depleted of glucose and require more of it to keep going. Changing the food a person eats to include less sugary foods and more fiber-filled foods will reduces the amount of glucose that is produced during digestion and give the body less to try and control.
Get back in balance and get those blood sugar levels under control.
