Why You Should Opt For A Wireless Dog Fence

Why You Should Opt For A Wireless Dog Fence

Not everyone is keen on getting a wireless dog fence installed for their pet. First, some people think that they’re a little bit complicated to use. Second, there are those who feel that they’re a lot more expensive than setting up a regular fence. However, wireless dog containment brings a lot to the table as far as aesthetics and ease of set up and break down. So much so that it outweighs any negative connotations that people have about them. To give you an idea, here’s a rundown of what they have to offer.

First, a wireless fence for dogs won’t ruin your home’s appearance. See, its transmitter can be hidden behind your furniture should you decide to get an indoor version or behind a couple of flower pots or any out of the way area if you plan on using an outdoor wireless fence. This keeps them from standing out and looking sort of out-of-place. The signal will work with the dog collar as long as the transmitter is placed within the recommended distance of the perimeter.

Second, a wireless pet fence won’t end up being a permanent fixture in your home. Once your dog learns to stay in its designated area, you can store it away until you need it again. This can’t be said about an actual fence. Once you set it up, it’s there to stay. Unless you want to waste both time and effort just to get rid of it.

Third, with wireless fencing, you won’t have to worry about your dogs ruining its quality. See, dogs tend to “mark” their territory. And once they’re placed inside a fence, they’ll feel that this is part of their territory. Over time, regular “marking” can ruin the quality of your fence, causing it to deteriorate and corrode. Once that happens, you’ll end up spending more just to maintain their upkeep and eventually replacing damaged fence.

So even if having a wireless dog fence did end up being a little more complicated and expensive, it’ll work out better for you than a regular fence in the long run. That’s why if you want to keep your dogs in a certain area while keeping the aesthetics of your landscaping, consider getting a wireless fence instead. Some of the best dog training books suggest using one as a tool to train your dog to stay within your yard.
